I have a Macintosh and want to try the ebrary Unity Reader.

Unfortunately, at this time, you will be unable to utlize the new ebrary Unity Reader. Apple did recently release Java 1.6, but it is only supported for Leopard (OS X 10.5) and a 64-bit processors. ebrary apologizes for this inconvenience, but the situation is out of our control.

How to know if you have Leopard (OS X 10.5.x) and a 64-bit processor: Double-click your Mac HD, then the same for Applications, Utilities, System Profiler. The System Profiler will list detailed information about your system, including the OS and Chipset. If you have 10.5.x, then you have Leopard. If you have an Intel Core 2 Duo chipset, then you have a 64-bit chip!
