Question/Issue:

I received a "You have exceeded the number of freely viewable pages" message while viewing a document in ebrary. Why did I get this message and what does it mean?

Solution:

You are receiving this message because some of our publishers, listed below, have placed session-based viewing restrictions on their documents. The publishers own the content, and in these specific instances have chosen to restrict how much of the document is viewable and printable.

ebrary feels that, despite these restrictions, these publishers are valuable partners, whose publications greatly benefit researchers using our system.

  • McGraw-Hill
  • Random House (and its imprints)
  • Taylor Francis (and its imprints)

These restrictions can vary from 20% to 40% of the book being viewable to a user.
