ebrary® has developed a sophisticated e-content platform that can be used in a number of capacities. You may subscribe to databases of e-content through our platform, purchase a custom collection, or both. Additionally, you may use our platform to distribute your own PDF content online under a variety of business models.
Any documents submitted into the ebrary platform have the ability to become a highly interactive database that is seamless to the end user. All documents in the ebrary platform can be cross referenced, are full-text searchable, and integrate with other digital resources and information on the web through ebrary’s InfoTools™ software.
The ebrary platform is PDF based, and we support most PDF file types. And, our platform overcomes barriers associated with large PDF file downloads by delivering content online, page-by-page to the end-user’s desktop with the ebrary Reader™.
You may further integrate and customize user experience with ebrary XML server-based APIs. ebrary’s Transparent Sign-On APIs enable you to provide single sign-on access to ebrary content from your servers, while Search APIs allow your server to search the ebrary collections available to your library. Additionally, ebrary’s UI customization allows you to control the apparence and behavior of your users’ experience, based on your library’s specific preferences.
