What factors influenced
your decision to subscribe
to ebrary?
• We are a technical university but our subject areas are diversifying and buying ebrary was a good way to satisfy the need for books on economics, humanities, medicine, etc. How did ebrary solve a
problem at your library?
• ebrary allowed us to cost-effectively build our holdings in subject areas that we don't specialize in. How are professors using
ebrary?
• Some professors have found e-books useful in assigning supplemental course reading. Do you use our usage
reports?
• Yes, we use them to decide whether to renew our subscription. We are always impressed by how much the eBooks are used. How do most users find
and access ebrary
content?
• ebrary integrates with our OPAC, and most of our users find it that way. We also post a link directly to ebrary. What technology features
do you like best about
ebrary?
• The most useful feature is the InfoTools menu, especially the ability to highlight text and take notes. Our students also like the ability to automatically store all their highlights and notes on their personal bookshelf. How would you rank
ebrary's search
capabilities?
• I think ebrary's search is definitely comparable to other e-book search interfaces. ebrary offers multiple ways to search the entire collection or within a specific document. Additionally, students can search across other resources in the library and on the web without losing their place in the e-book with InfoTools.
