What trends impacted your
decision to subscribe
to ebrary?
•
Our library services are primarily online. We do not have a traditional print library, although we have affiliations with local libraries for some of our eight campus sites around the US. Our online library is provided by Eglobal (egloballibrary.com) which designs and maintains an interface which is a virtual library, including access to databases as well as other services such as live reference. Since we have no print book collection, we are very glad to have ebrary as part of our Eglobal package.
What issues or problems has ebrary addressed at your library?
•
ebrary provides a growing collection of recent books of value for student research.
What do you and your patrons like best about ebrary’s technology?
•
When I do instruction, the tools for saving citation info and highlighting get a lot of “wow.”
Favorite feature(s)?
•
Using Info Tools to be able to find books I looked at and notes I took.
What do you and your patrons like best about ebrary’s content?
•
One professor was very excited to find almost every book she wanted to assign about civil rights history. Many of the books meet our research needs, which are primarily education, mental health counseling, and management.
How does ebrary compare to other digital resources at your library?
•
ebrary has the best tools for saving research. I wish the same tools were in all our other databases.
