An increasing number of our students either work part-time or study at a distance, and many students in general like the convenience of using electronic material. ebrary helps us to support independent study by providing access to quality academic material at a time to suit study schedules.
What issues or problems has ebrary addressed at your library?
ebrary’s wide subject coverage provides exceptional value, and goes a long way to meeting the expectations of our students.
What do you and your patrons like best about ebrary's technology?
Our patrons appreciate the functionality of ebrary’s platform, and the easy access off-campus using Shibboleth authentication. ebrary’s personal bookshelf and use of folders to organise favourite titles are both very popular.
What is your favorite InfoTools feature?
Highlight text, make notes and bookmark pages are all ebrary features that I use alot.
What do you and your patrons like best about ebrary's content?
ebrary continues to provide high-quality academic content in a wide range of subject areas. Our students and faculty are very pleased.
What do your patrons think of ebrary?
Our students, and in particular distance learners, like the convenience of using ebrary because they have access to full-text materials 24/7. The full-text searching capability finds much more relevant material than using the library catalogue. Our patrons don’t have to wait for books to be returned, and even better, they can highlight text and make notes on pages and no-one minds!
