Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Western U.S.

ebrary, a leading provider of digital content solutions for libraries, corporations, and publishers, is seeking a self-driven, enthusiastic go-getter to join our team as Sales & Marketing Coordinator for the western U.S. academic library market.

ebrary’s products include e-books and other authoritative content from leading publishers sold under subscription and perpetual access (purchase) models, and content hosting services for libraries that need to host and distribute their own digitized content online.

Located in our Palo Alto, CA office, this full-time, entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing, privately held company with thousands of customers and millions of end-users worldwide. It is also presents a tremendous opportunity for career growth in ebrary’s sales and marketing organization.

This position is responsible for supporting the western U.S. sales team throughout the sales cycle and assisting in basic marketing functions as needed. Very little if any travel is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Qualifying, entering, and tracking leads
  • Extensive phone calls and outreach to prospects
  • Scheduling web demonstrations
  • Handling requests for brochures, title lists, and other materials
  • Updating and maintaining ebrary’s target lists
  • Communicating with customers
  • Setting up trial and customer sites
  • Liaison with ebrary’s administrative/telemarketing, support, and finance teams
  • Generating and tracking purchase orders
  • Other sales and marketing administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Experience using e-books and other digital resources in libraries a plus
